Art Gallery Program
The art gallery curators have hundreds of mixed art media: sculptures, paintings and electronic media. The following schedule of accommodation has summarized the clients needs.

The curators will work alongside the interior designers and architectures during the design and construction phase of the gallery.
ARCHITECTURAL REQUIREMENTS
The art gallery is considered ‘new construction’. The art gallery will sit on a lot of 10,000 sq-ft in the city of Montreal. The land will be cleared and prepared for ground work by the contractors. The ___ story art gallery will have a basement, ground floor and a _______ floor. The art gallery will be constructed with mixed materials: 25% recycled materials and new materials. The art gallery exhibit will display seasonal art and sculpture work from local artists. The required exhibition space for the art work would be ____ sq-ft of floor space. The walls of the art gallery must be cluttered free of switches, thermostats and plugs. The walls of the art gallery will be left bare and available for displaying art work. The majority and more prominent collection will be displayed at ground level with a focus on attracting pedestrian traffic. The art gallery will attract an estimate of _______ of visitors annually with a peak of ______ visitors between the summer months of May and August. The estimated majority of visitors will consist of pedestrian traffic and bus tours. Public facilities such lavatories and common areas will be made available to accommodate the foot traffic at ground level. High capacity floor loading will be required on all levels of the art gallery to accommodate the pedestrian traffic and heavy floor sculptures. The art gallery will house ___ offices located at the ground floor. Lighting and electrical services for the two offices will be supplied from the ceiling space. No ground coring will be permitted in the offices.
ELECTRICAL SERVICES
The electrical services required for the art gallery would include modular light fixtures that can move and be replaced to display requirements. Electrical switches and plugs must be limited to and located on the interior columns of the art gallery. Emergency lighting and alarm systems will be installed in the ceiling space.
MECHANICAL SERVICES
Mechanical services for the art gallery will consist of a central climate control system. The central climate control system will regulate the quality of air; temperature and humidity of the open space. The mechanical services will be installed in the ceiling space. Thermostats and other climate regulating systems will be located on the interior columns of the gallery.
